When did you last look in the mirror, hmm? Or do you even have a mirror? Probably not. Caught sight of your reflection in a polished shop window recently? Oh God, no, you haven't been near the high street on a shop-up for years now, have you?
Your appearance is heartbreakingly lacking in care. We want to weep when we look at you. The greatest sadness is, however, that you have achieved what you set out to achieve with flying colours. Your desire to blend into nothing has turned you into a ghost-like figure that no-one notices - not even enough to feel sorry for you. The only reason that we can see you is because our experienced eyes find it hard not to rest on outfits that are so pitiful.
Sweetheart, to be honest, you look like a bag lady. Your clothes are so worn they seem ingrained with grime, rigid with dirt and alive with bacteria. Those big, baggy, heavy-knit sweaters and over-sized jackets may be warm, may even aid you in your bid to evaporate into the atmosphere, but they've swallowed you up so effectively that you are unable to find the person you once were. Your appearance has wiped you from the face of the earth. Even your shoes represent a life dedicated to giving up. They are androgynous loafers or tired trainers. The soles are worn, the heels sloping.
The upside is that they are perfectly in tune with the plastic bag you use as a handbag. The downside is that these 'accessories' have the same feeling of despondency as your clothes.
And the hair, oh dear, the hair. This has a year-round snowy peak above the tresses that cling to the colour from your bi-annual dyeing session. If you do make the effort with make-up, you just add to what's left from the day before.
Nothing you do enhances your looks; the overall impression you give is one of extreme visual tiredness.
When was the last time you bought new make-up?
You have forgotten that you do actually have a figure under all those layers.
Your too-short trouser leg only adds to your already dishevelled look and shortens the length of your legs.
Your hair's lack of maintenance reflects your own lack of love for yourself.
Although you see your over-sized coat as a grown-up comforter, nobody else sees it quite that way... in fact, nobody else can see YOU through it.
You can't be bothered to carry a handbag, as you don't know where life will take you on a daily basis. Besides, you can fit so much more into plastic bags.
Your lack of socks and tired shoes emphasise how little you care about your feet, and therefore about yourself.
