How to wear dark green

'Blue and green should never be seen'... Oh, really? We say: 'Green loves blue like I love you.' Take a look at the infinite variety of landscapes where dark greens blend with blues and browns and flashes of brighter colours. Check out a peacock's tail.

Dark green is another colour that many of us avoid for fear of getting it wrong, and indeed it does require courage to make these seemingly unusual colour combinations - racing green with sea green, dark purple and mustard - look good. We promise you that they do work and if you dare to wear dark green in all its glory you will feel quite special and different in a world of navy and black.

I find olive green an immensely sophisticated colour but I know others feel that it can look a bit "county". To make it work in town it needs to be teemed with something a little eccentric, like this Missoni scarf.
