Why: undone, this is a pathetic excuse for a coat and will do nothing but swamp any semblance of femininity. Belted, it will draw attention to the stress the belt is under to meet around your middle.

Straight-cut overcoat
Why: if it fits your waist, it will bag over your backside.
Frock coat
Why: as these have a fabulous waist cut into them, don't ruin the curvaceous line by doing it up. Let the coat do the work for you.
